Tai (or Japanese Sea Bream) are a close relative of the Snapper we see here in Australia.
These new Tai Rubber jigs mimic cuttlefish and other baits like squid. They have a large cuttlefish eye at the centre of the jig and metallic finish. A silicone tube allows free flow of the line allowing the jig to slide. The vibrant skirt hides 2 super sharp carbon single hooks just waiting for a hungry predator.
These snapper jigs come in 3 weights, 40g, 60g and 100g making them perfect for low and high current situations. Bounce these dazzling jigs off the bottom or through the water column where the fish are holding and you will be in for a ride. Snapper and Kingfish will love these jigs, along with coral trout, dhufish in the deeper water along with other species such as tailor, trevally and mackerel in the shallower waters.
Tai Rubber jigs are designed to be fished using a slow jigging rod. The lure head is designed to slide up the line and on the drop it sinks faster than the skirt so when on the bottom the skirt typically sits above the lure head, wafting in the current. This unique design allows the angler to present a much smaller profile to the fish, being only a rubber skirt, and will be more attractive to fish species normally shy of a large lure.
The ultimate jigs for targeting a variety of saltwater game fish feeding close to the bottom, such as Snapper.
